OH MY GOODNESS, WE DID IT!!!
We bought our RV, Susie Q 🙂
She’s a 1990 Toyota Dolphin. She’s a beauty! We absolutely adore her and are so excited!
We got her earlier than we thought, which is a huge stroke of luck!
We put the Jeep on Craigslist and sold it within days for exactly what we wanted to get for it. Then two days later the RV Laith had been eyeing for a month was still available (with a significant price drop!) so we went to have a look and WE DROVE HER HOME!!!
Right now, I’m sitting on our new bed in the RV just soaking it all in. I’ve got the windows open (it’s super windy today!) and there’s a nice breeze coming in. Since we are parked in our driveway, I get WiFi! It’s nice to sit in here with the music playing, a candle going, and really picture that this is going to be our home in just a few short months! The only thing missing is the pups sitting in the bed with me, looking out the window. But that will happen soon enough 🙂
We’ve come so far since I first started this blog in August. I feel like it’s important to remember how far we’ve come since we decided to be fulltime RVers. I think it’s appropriate that I’m writing this post from the actual RV. Our plans have changed so much over the last five months, but the goal has remained the same: to live life on our own terms.
Less than a month ago we were thinking about living out of our popup camper! That was always a bad idea haha I’m so happy we stuck it out to find a Toyota RV. We had considered a Chevy Van that was pretty badass, but it was all the way in Florida and way heavier than a Toyota.
Already today I’ve gone through all of my emails, made some changes to my to-do list for the day. I’m getting prepared to start my workday. I have a ton of things to do for my clients, and I’m so excited to jump in, but before I do that I wanted to share some photos of Susie Q!
We have a lot of plans for her makeover. She’s going to get new flooring, a fresh interior paint job, new upholstery, and some cute decorations. We are going for a bit of a Southwest Bohemian vibe. I have a ton of images saved that I’m using for inspiration.
The main vibes are black, white, rich wood, cream, and greenery touches. We want it to be cozy, modern, and unique. Me being a designer, I want it to feel artsy as well 😉 I’d love it I could do a white brick wallpaper as an accent wall as well.
